Grand Prize and Excellence Award Team Dishes
to Be Showcased at the Geumsan World Ginseng Festival
The 12 teams that will compete in the finals of the 2025 Geumsan National Ginseng Cuisine Competition, which will feature cooking demonstrations and tasting events on the Geumsan K-Ginseng Food Show stage at the 43rd Geumsan World Ginseng Festival, have been confirmed.
Geumsan County is organizing this competition to promote the consumption and industrialization of ginseng by discovering creative and practical culinary content utilizing ginseng.
The finalist teams were selected through a fair document screening process conducted by a panel of judges composed of professors from food-related departments, based on criteria such as creativity, use of ginseng, completeness, and ease of preparation.
The final round will be held on August 9 at the Geumsan Ginseng Herbal Health Center, where teams will demonstrate their dishes in person and receive evaluations from the panel of judges.
The awards are as follows: one Grand Prize team, two Excellence Prize teams, three Merit Prize teams, and six Encouragement Prize teams.
In particular, the dishes of the Grand Prize and Excellence Prize teams will be showcased to visitors through cooking demonstrations and tasting events on the Geumsan K-Ginseng Food Show stage on September 21.
A county official stated, "Through this competition, we aim to promote the excellence and diversity of Geumsan ginseng," and added, "We hope you look forward to innovative Geumsan ginseng cuisine."
