AI solutions company Muhayu announced on July 30 the statistics for its AI interview service 'Monster' for the period from 2023 to the first half of 2025. Monster is a conversational AI interview service that evaluates not only interview attitude and communication skills, but also comprehensively analyzes the content of the applicant's answers to assess job suitability and organizational fit. It consists of an AI competency assessment and an AI interview.

According to the analysis, the number of companies that adopted AI interviews in the first half of 2025 increased more than threefold compared to the first half of 2023. The highest proportion was large and medium-sized companies (38.5%), followed by public institutions (23.6%), startups (19.8%), and small businesses (18%). By industry, IT·Tech accounted for 26.4%, manufacturing 23.5%, services 17.6%, and distribution 16.1%.

During the same period, the number of AI interview candidates also increased by more than 6.4 times. The average participation rate for Monster was 86%, meaning that about 9 out of 10 applicants took part in the AI interview.

As AI interviews become more widespread, their applications are also diversifying. For example, a financial company has simplified the application documents for experienced hires and is using Monster interview videos as a substitute for self-introduction letters. In fact, the number of applicants for this company increased fivefold from about 700 previously to over 3,500 after implementing the video self-introduction process through AI interviews.

Monster is an AI interview service focused on conversation, concentrating on the applicant's answers as in a real face-to-face interview and providing customized questions based on suitability analysis. It is designed to verify applicants' competencies in advance by evaluating not just attitude but also the content of their answers. In addition, the AI-based competency assessment predicts the applicant's suitability and competency level, and comprehensively analyzes the possibility of post-hire maladjustment, personality, metacognition, and job matching rate.

Muhayu provides both the Monster AI interview service and the AI-based talent verification solution 'Prism', building an integrated AI solution from recruitment to HR management. Currently, Prism and Monster are used by more than 700 client companies. Monster recently obtained the AI Reliability Certification (CAT) 1.0, supervised by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Information and Communication Technology Association (TTA), certifying its technological capability and reliability.

Muhayu CEO Shin Dongho stated, "The technical limitations of AI interviews and the issue of applicant bias are challenges that must be addressed through continuous technological development and social consensus," adding, "Muhayu will take the lead in building a fairer and more trustworthy AI interview environment, going beyond simply obtaining AI reliability certification."
