Warm Comfort for Residents Affected by the Disaster
The Busan Ulsan Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters of the National Health Insurance Service (headed by Cho Junhee) conducted a mobile laundry volunteer service on July 24 for residents in the Sindung-myeon area of Sancheong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, who were affected by the recent heavy rainfall.
Employees from both the Busan Ulsan Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters and the Jinju Sancheong Branch (headed by Jeong Seungwon) participated together in this volunteer activity.
They helped residents by washing and drying contaminated clothes and bedding in the organization’s mobile laundry vehicle, and then delivering the cleaned items directly to each household for their convenience.
Cho Junhee, head of the regional headquarters, said, "I hope this volunteer activity will be a small gift to help residents return to their normal daily lives," and added, "We will continue to provide support to those in need of social protection through various social contribution activities, including laundry volunteer services."
