The Career Planning Program for Employees, operated by the Gwangju Employers Federation Midlife Tomorrow Center, is gaining popularity.
According to the Gwangju Employers Federation on July 28, the "Career Planning Program" is a specialized program unique to the Midlife Tomorrow Center that helps participants plan work-centered careers in preparation for the era of 100-year lifespans. The program is being actively operated this year with a goal of 1,500 graduates.
Lectures for job seekers are held in the special lecture rooms at the Gwangju Employment Welfare+ Center and Gwangsan Employment Welfare+ Center, where the Midlife Tomorrow Center is located. When the program is provided for employees currently working at companies, an on-site service is offered by utilizing the companies' own lecture rooms.
On August 8-9 at Ssangchon Siyeong General Welfare Center and on August 22-24 at Kumho General Social Welfare Center, the program offered sessions for staff members, including: Understanding Career Planning, Finding Personal Colors, Career Design for Middle-aged and Senior Participants, and Emotion Exhaustion Prevention Education.
Kim Jaejung, head of the Midlife Tomorrow Center, stated, "In addition to the Career Planning Program, we also provide the 'Career Transition School Program' for those preparing for retirement, free of charge for companies." He added, "If a company applies as a group, we can customize the schedule, location, and program content to fit the company's needs. We hope for much interest and many applications."
