Secured 160 Million Won in Financial Incentives
Yeosu City in South Jeolla Province (Mayor Jung Kimyung) announced on July 28 that it has been selected as the grand prize winner in the "2025 First Half Local Finance Rapid Execution Evaluation" conducted by South Jeolla Province, securing a financial incentive of 70 million won.
This achievement follows the grand prize received in the first quarter, bringing the total financial incentives for the first half of the year to 160 million won, including the 90 million won awarded in the first quarter.
In the "Rapid Execution" category, which includes major policy projects for the first half of the year, the city executed 501.7 billion won, surpassing its budget execution target of 494 billion won. In the "Consumption·Investment" category, which has a direct impact on the local economy, the city recorded strong performance by executing 175.2 billion won, which is 122% of the second quarter target of 143.3 billion won.
Since the beginning of the year, the city has held regular briefings on the progress of rapid execution, presided over by the vice mayor, and has continuously monitored the status of fiscal execution. Despite challenging financial conditions, the city has made every effort to ensure efficient and systematic budget execution.
Mayor Jung Kimyung emphasized, "This evaluation is the result of the collective efforts of all Yeosu City officials to revitalize the local economy," and added, "In the second half of the year, we will continue to invigorate the local economy through efficient financial management and systematic execution control."
