On July 28, the county announced that it is making every effort to restore infrastructure such as roads and electricity, as well as to recover homes and farmland damaged by the disaster, through close cooperation with relevant agencies.
As a result of the heavy rainfall, five people have died and two are still missing in Gapyeong County as of now. Funeral support for the deceased and search operations for the missing are being carried out simultaneously. Two people, including a resident of Yongin who died in the landslide at the Mailli campsite in Jojong-myeon, have been temporarily placed in a mortuary, while one family member remains missing. In addition, one fatality each occurred in Jerong-ri, Buk-myeon; Daebo-ri, Jojong-myeon; and Sinsang-ri, Jojong-myeon. The search area for the missing has been expanded to include not only the vicinity of Dawon 2 Bridge in Deokhyeon-ri, Sang-myeon, but also the Gimpo area.
Of the 4,140 households in 11 villages that experienced power outages due to the heavy rain, 97.3% have had power restored. Most of the remaining areas are expected to have power restored by July 29. In Mailli, Jojong-myeon, restoration has been delayed due to road washouts; however, Korea Electric Power Corporation and the military are working together to expedite the power restoration process.
A total of 313 pieces of heavy equipment, including excavators, dump trucks, and water tankers, have been deployed intensively to Gapyeong-eup, Cheongpyeong-myeon, Sang-myeon, Jojong-myeon, and Buk-myeon to restore areas affected by landslides and road washouts. Additional equipment will be dispatched immediately upon request from each village.

As of July 22, 20 legal roads had been washed out and closed to traffic, but as of July 27, all 20 have been restored and traffic has resumed.
However, efforts are ongoing to restore non-legal roads and village roads where access remains restricted due to landslides and road damage.
Of a total of 8,165 communication lines that were damaged, 8,086 have been restored as of July 27 thanks to swift recovery efforts. This brings the overall restoration rate to 99%, with full recovery imminent. Specifically, wireless lines have been restored at a rate of 92.4%, wired lines at 99.4%, and paid broadcasting at 99.6%. However, 79 lines remain unrepaired due to severe landslide damage, and all efforts are being made to restore them quickly.
Medical volunteer teams, comprised of the Gyeonggi Medical Association, Nurses Association, and Pharmacists Association, are working in cooperation with the Gapyeong County Public Health Center to provide on-site medical care. As of now, a total of 2,361 cases of medical treatment and consultation have been provided, including 571 home visits, 1,586 home health management cases, and 204 cases related to infectious disease control and other treatments.
Of the 24 water supply facilities that were temporarily suspended due to flooding and power outages, 22 have been restored as of July 27, resulting in a 92% recovery rate. The remaining two facilities are currently undergoing restoration work, and emergency water supply is being provided due to damaged and lost pipelines.

Volunteers continue to be dispatched daily to the flood recovery sites, working tirelessly. From July 21 to July 27, a cumulative total of 8,480 people have participated. In particular, 5,154 people, including public officials, soldiers, and civilians, took part over the weekend of July 26 and 27. They assisted in various areas such as removing debris, handling waste, and repairing flood-damaged homes.
A Gapyeong County official stated, "The government, military, and civilians are pooling all resources to ensure that residents can return to their daily lives as quickly as possible," adding, "We will do our utmost to swiftly complete restoration in the remaining affected areas as well."
