VC Association Launches Startup Support Through Pre-Entrepreneur Training Program

Sharing Investment Experiences Between Active VCs and Invested Companies

The Korea Venture Capital Association (VC Association) announced on July 28 that it will operate the 'Next Chapter (Pre-Entrepreneur Schooling)' program for eight weeks starting from September 5, to support aspiring entrepreneurs such as employees of large corporations, mid-sized companies, and public institutions who possess technological capabilities and innovative potential.

This training focuses on providing practical assistance to aspiring entrepreneurs with innovative technological capabilities, enabling them to move forward to actual business startups. The curriculum includes essential practical lectures needed in the early stages of starting a business, such as entrepreneurship, laws related to startups and intellectual property (IP), accounting and taxation, and human resources and labor management. Experts from various fields, including active venture capitalists, lawyers, and accountants, will serve as instructors, delivering content that covers both theory and practical applications.

As a case of co-growth through investment partnerships, two talk concerts will be held where VCs and the companies they have directly invested in will participate together. Through these events, they will vividly share the collaborative processes and achievements before and after investment, as well as provide investment-related advice and networking opportunities.

Kim Hakkyun, Chairman of the Association, stated, "When VCs take the lead in educating aspiring entrepreneurs, it goes beyond simple training and raises the overall quality of the venture ecosystem, while nurturing partners who can grow together." He added, "Through this program, we will continue to provide unwavering support so that outstanding technical talent can enter the innovative venture ecosystem and achieve tangible startup results."
