On July 27, Jeon Somi made a surprise appearance as a reenactment actor on the MBC program "Mystery TV Surprise," drawing attention. She wore a white dress and a long wig, playing the role of a mysterious woman who hands a parrot to someone she meets in the forest and then disappears. She also appeared in scenes where a wife suspects her husband's affair and catches evidence, as well as scenes where an affair is exposed and punished, leaving a strong impression.

Jeon Somi, who previously revealed herself as a fan of the long-running program "Mystery TV Surprise," became a real reenactment extra actor in line with the title of her digital single "Extra," which was released on July 7.

This kind of promotional method is not new to Jeon Somi. Recently, it has become a trend for singers or actors to make surprise appearances in unexpected places that match the concept of their new song or drama character as a form of promotion. Previously, singer Zico and idol-turned-actress Kim Minju appeared as weathercasters in the news weather segment. Zico drew inspiration from the weather-related content of his new song "Summer Hate," while Kim Minju also made a surprise appearance as a weathercaster in line with her role in the movie "Hear Me." At the time, Zico showcased his new song's dance challenge, and Kim Minju delivered news about the colder weather using sign language.

On July 25, singer-turned-actor Yoon Kyesang also drew attention by appearing in the sports news segment of "SBS 8 News." He appeared to promote his role as a rugby team coach in the Friday-Saturday drama "Try: We Become Miracles." He also delivered the message, "If you never give up and keep challenging yourself in any sport, you will eventually see the miracle bloom." Actor Kim Yohan, who plays the rugby team captain in the same drama, also engaged in unique promotional activities by throwing the first pitch at the "2025 KBO League" game between the LG Twins and the Lotte Giants at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul on July 18.
