Lee Minwoo (45), a member of the group Shinhwa, has announced his marriage.
On July 25, Lee Minwoo posted a photo of a handwritten letter on his Instagram account, stating, "After confirming our feelings for each other with someone I have known for a long time, we have decided to become a family," and added, "I hope you will bless us with your warm hearts."
He continued, "We have confirmed our feelings for each other after knowing each other for a long time, and we have promised to be a source of strength in each other's lives."
He also said, "Recently, after going through various situations that left me mentally exhausted and struggling, I spent a lot of time with my family, which made me reflect on the meaning of life. My feelings about 'family,' which I had vaguely dreamed of, became clearer, and I naturally decided to get married."
He especially expressed his sincerity in wanting to share the news with his fans first. He wrote, "Thinking of Shinhwa Changjo, who may have been surprised by this sudden news, I wanted to tell you myself, even if I'm not perfect, so that you wouldn't hear it from another source," and added, "You are the ones I most want to receive congratulations from, so I wrote this with all my heart."

Since debuting as a member of Shinhwa in 1998, Lee Minwoo has spent his teens, twenties, and thirties on stage. He confessed, "All the time until now has always been a blessing thanks to Shinhwa Changjo, and because of the love that supported me even when I was lacking, I was able to find the courage to move forward again. Every moment I lived as Lee Minwoo on stage was happy."
He concluded, "Although there will be new changes in my life in the future, I promise that I will continue to meet Shinhwa Changjo as Lee Minwoo, who remains unchanged on stage and anywhere else, with the love of Shinhwa Changjo and my family as my driving force."
Lee Minwoo, who debuted with Shinhwa in 1998, has been loved for hit songs such as "Perfect Man." He has also pursued solo activities and worked as a painter, holding his first solo exhibition "PURISM" on June 21. Next month, Lee Minwoo is scheduled to appear on the KBS variety show "Salimnam," where he will reveal his wedding preparations.
Shinhwa, the group Lee Minwoo belongs to, is the longest-running idol group to have continued activities without any member changes since their debut in 1998, and recently announced news of a solo concert.
