Korea PIM announced on the 25th that an Israeli firearms manufacturer recently visited its factory in Vietnam to conduct an on-site due diligence of its technology and production capabilities.

Korea PIM Completes Due Diligence by Leading Israeli Firearms Manufacturer at Vietnam Factory

The company that carried out the due diligence is a global enterprise with subsidiaries and production facilities in the United States, India, and Vietnam, exporting firearms to more than 50 countries worldwide. It supplies firearms to governments around the world. Since being exclusively selected by the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense as a rifle manufacturer in 2014, it has been supplying products to the Vietnamese government.

This due diligence was proactively requested by the Israeli firearms manufacturer based on Korea PIM’s supply reference to the Indonesian state-owned defense company Pindad. The company is currently seeking to maximize the efficiency and scale of its firearm supply to the Vietnamese government by transitioning its production technology to MIM (Metal Injection Molding). To this end, it visited Korea PIM, which possesses the nation’s top MIM technology, and reportedly showed great interest in the company’s MIM production facilities and management capabilities.

Korea PIM plans to use this due diligence as a starting point to expand into additional overseas defense markets beyond Vietnam. Centered on its own factory in Vietnam, the company will begin in earnest to supply civilian firearm materials to the Israeli manufacturer’s production facilities in Vietnam, and will pursue further cooperation to supply new firearm materials to overseas markets.

A Korea PIM representative stated, “We were highly evaluated not only for our mass production capabilities through overseas production bases but also for our supply references to global defense companies, which led to the factory due diligence by the leading Israeli firearms manufacturer. This due diligence was prepared over a long period through our existing Vietnamese partner, and since the on-site inspection has been completed, we expect to achieve tangible results in the near future.”

He added, “As global civilian firearm companies are shifting to MIM for firearm material manufacturing, the supply of MIM products in the defense sector is expected to accelerate in the future. We will continue our partnerships with global firearms manufacturers and maximize our defense sector performance with an export-oriented strategy.”
