Chuck Mangione, the American jazz musician best known for "Feels So Good," passed away at his home in Rochester, New York on July 22 (local time), according to a report by The New York Times on July 24. He was 84 years old.

After performing as a trumpet player in the legendary jazz group Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers, Mangione gained widespread popularity as a flugelhorn player. The flugelhorn is a brass instrument similar in appearance to the trumpet, but it produces a softer and more lyrical tone.

His 1977 album "Feels So Good" led to a boom in instrumental music in the United States, and his 1978 film soundtrack album "Children Of Sanchez" also achieved significant commercial success. Mangione was nominated for a Grammy Award a total of 14 times and won twice, in 1976 and 1978.

In South Korea, he held concerts on five occasions: from 2000 to 2001, in 2004, in 2007, and in 2010.
