Gwangmyeong City in Gyeonggi Province is supporting local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and small business owners in developing online sales channels.
On July 24, Gwangmyeong City announced that it will be recruiting 73 SMEs and small business owners to join the "Gwangmyeong Win-Win Platform" until August 27. The "Gwangmyeong Win-Win Platform" is an integrated online platform unique to Gwangmyeong, offering comprehensive support such as customized online marketing, content creation, and distribution channel connections for local SMEs and small business owners.
Selected companies will receive customized content production support of up to 2.5 million KRW in five areas: production of detailed product pages, establishment and renewal of their own websites, production of promotional videos, online advertising support such as keyword ads and shopping search, and support for live commerce and delivery fees. The city will also provide professional education on marketing and public relations strategies to strengthen online competitiveness.
Interested businesses can check the official announcement posted on the Gwangmyeong City website or the Gyeonggi Technopark website, or contact the city's Enterprise Support Division or Gyeonggi Technopark for detailed information. The city also plans to hold an information session regarding this support program on August 14 at the Gwangmyeong City Civil Defense Education Center.
The city plans to allow local SMEs and small business owners who own online channels such as their own websites, Instagram, or Naver Smart Store to join the platform at any time, even if they are not selected for this round.
Park Seungwon, Mayor of Gwangmyeong, stated, "Through this project, we will establish a sustainable growth foundation for local companies and small business owners," and added, "We will spare no effort to help them strengthen their self-reliance capabilities through practical expansion of sales channels."
