Good People and Lee Chul Hair Kuker Provide Hair and Beauty Volunteer Services for Vulnerable Groups

Good People and Kuker Co., Ltd. are providing professional hair and beauty services to vulnerable elderly at the Galhyeon Senior Welfare Center in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul on the 22nd. Good People

Good People, an international relief and development NGO (President Kim Cheonsu), announced on the 23rd that, together with beauty specialist company Kuker Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Cheol), it will conduct volunteer hair and beauty services to support marginalized groups struggling with daily life in six regions nationwide until the end of the year.

Good People and Kuker Co., Ltd. plan to visit a total of six social welfare facilities in four regions of Seoul and Gyeonggi, as well as in Busan and Gwangju, by December. They will provide volunteer services for seniors, people with disabilities, children and youth, and migrant workers. In addition, they plan to collect proceeds from the bang trim service offered at Kuker’s hair salons to provide daily necessities needed by each facility.

This volunteer activity will include Kuker Angel, the social contribution volunteer group of Kuker Co., Ltd. Kuker Angel consists of headquarters staff and the heads and designers of Kuker’s salon brands, including Lee Chul Hair Kuker, Makkie, Nanul Hair Salon, and La Bridge.

On the 22nd, they provided professional hair and beauty services to 25 vulnerable seniors at the Guryep Galhyeon Senior Welfare Center in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, and donated 170 household fire extinguishers to help prevent fires in the homes of the elderly.

Park Gapsu, head director of Lee Chul Hair Kuker at Pyeongchon Lotte Department Store, who participated in the volunteer activity, said, "Along with the growth of Lee Chul Hair Kuker, Kuker Angel has also continued to expand its social contribution activities, recently supporting wildfire victims in the Andong area," and added, "We will continue to strive so that Kuker Angel can serve as the only volunteer group in the industry through beauty talent donations and material contributions."

Since 2015, Good People and Kuker Co., Ltd. have engaged in various social contribution activities in Vietnam, starting with the construction of 'Kuker School' in Phu Tho Province. They have built schools and libraries and installed water purification facilities in areas without access to clean water.

A representative from Kuker Co., Ltd. stated, "Starting with this volunteer activity, Kuker’s stores nationwide will carry out a relay volunteer campaign, offering a helping hand to local communities once a month," and added, "Our goal is to create a routine of goodness in everyday life together with all Kuker employees."
