Following the release of Kkumdori Ramen and Kkumdori Makgeolli, the third installment in the Kkumdori Matjam series, Kkumdori Walnut Cookies, is set to be launched.

To commemorate this, Daejeon City held a launch event for Kkumdori Walnut Cookies on the 22nd, featuring Kkumdori and Kkumsuni from the Kkumssi Family.

After Kkumdori Ramen, which sold 500,000 units in just one month, and Kkumdori Makgeolli, made with Daejeon rice, the upcoming Kkumdori Walnut Cookies, a project aimed at creating public jobs, has already generated a flood of inquiries to Daejeon City ahead of its release.

In particular, the walnut cookies are produced and sold through a self-sufficiency project in which young people in public job programs, rather than private companies, directly participate. This creative youth self-sufficiency job model, led by Daejeon City and the Metropolitan Self-Sufficiency Center, is drawing attention.

On this day, Daejeon Mayor Lee Jangwoo personally invited participants of the youth self-sufficiency project who contributed to the production of Kkumdori Walnut Cookies to the event, where he presented them with molds shaped like Kkumdori and Kkumsuni, encouraging their efforts and supporting their determination for self-reliance.

Mayor Lee Jangwoo stated, "Kkumdori Walnut Cookies are not just a public job initiative, but the nation's first innovative case that combines city marketing," adding, "The proceeds from the sales of Kkumdori Walnut Cookies will be used as a self-reliance fund for participating youth, making it even more meaningful."

'Kkumdori Walnut Cookies' will first be sold on-site at the 'Kkumdori Supermarket' during the August 0si Festival period.
