Matching Real Estate Agents by MBTI Named Top Case
Key Initiatives Like Resident Sports Center to Be Managed in Parallel
Gwangjin District in Seoul (Mayor Kim Kyungho) has selected and announced the 'Outstanding Proactive Administration Cases for the First Half of 2025,' focusing on administrative achievements that enhanced residents' convenience and addressed inconveniences.
The district discovers outstanding cases twice a year, in the first and second halves. For the first half of this year, a total of six cases were chosen after a comprehensive evaluation of factors such as residents' satisfaction, creativity, and feasibility: one grand prize, two excellence awards, and three encouragement awards.
The grand prize went to the initiative titled "First Home for Youth! Communicate with MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) and Secure Your Contract with Practical Tips!" This project supported youth housing stability by providing a matching service with real estate agents based on personality type and offering practical real estate contract information. It was recognized for its creativity and effectiveness in integrating user-tailored services into administration.
The excellence awards were given to the operation of the On-site One-stop Moving-in Center and the opening and management of the Gwangjin Forest Naru Cafe. Each project received high marks for providing moving-in convenience to residents of newly built apartments and for expanding social participation among the elderly and establishing a foundation for local communication, respectively.
Other major cases that improved policy perception included the Gwangjin-style discharged patient management project, the operation of Gwangjin-gu Notification Talk, and the simplification of the registration change procedure for petroleum sales businesses (gas stations).
The district plans to share the results with all departments to enhance proactive administrative capabilities within the organization and to reward the selected cases, including presenting the Mayor’s Award.
In addition, key proactive administration tasks for 2025 have been selected, such as the establishment of the Resident Sports Promotion Center, improvement of childcare environments through the expansion of public childcare centers, and the implementation of an automatic main entrance door system for apartment buildings. The district will focus on managing these projects to ensure their completion by the second half of the year.
Kim Kyungho, Mayor of Gwangjin District Office, stated, "To effectively respond to the diversifying administrative demands and complex issues, the creativity and proactive attitude of public officials are more important than ever. We will continue to systematically support and refine institutional and organizational environments so that proactive administration can firmly take root."
