Kang Taeyoung, President of NH NongHyup Bank, announced on the 20th that he visited Asan, Chungnam, which suffered significant damage due to heavy rainfall, to inspect the situation on the ground and discuss recovery support measures. The Asan region in Chungnam recorded a cumulative rainfall of 373mm over the two days of the 16th and 17th, resulting in the flooding of 570 hectares of rice paddies and the total destruction of 60 livestock facilities, among other extensive damages.
On this day, President Kang visited the sites of flood damage, including Nongupjikimi Co., Ltd., a company specializing in the repair and sale of agricultural machinery, as well as the economic business sites of Asan Horticultural NongHyup and Yeomchi NongHyup, and flooded farmlands. He inspected the damage firsthand and listened to the difficulties faced by those affected. In addition, he delivered relief supplies and discussed a variety of support measures, including financial assistance for recovery efforts.
President Kang stated, "I would like to express my condolences to the farmers and local residents who suffered great losses due to the unexpected flooding," and added, "NongHyup Bank will actively implement company-wide volunteer efforts and practical financial support to aid in the recovery."
