Marking its 21st edition this year, the Hwacheon Tomato Festival will feature a total of six themed zones and more than 40 programs. In the performance zone, there will be a pre-festival event, a tomato singing contest, the "Table for a Thousand," military performances, and recreational activities. The water zone will feature a sliding pool, a mist tunnel to cool off from the heat, a water gun playground, and parasol rest areas. In the experience zone, visitors can enjoy balloon art, tomato face painting, a photo zone, and a Santa post office experience. The promotion market zone will include a sales booth for Hwacheon agricultural and specialty products, a promotional booth by Ottogi Co., and a food court.
