This campaign operated booths in connection with the "2025 Ulleung Sea Week" and "Ullulala Sea Food Stall" events, contributing to the spread of a culture of sharing within the local community.
The event was organized by the Ulleung County Community Social Security Council and the Sarangui Yeolmae Sharing Volunteer Group, both agencies of the Community Chest of Korea. Around 20 members from the council and the volunteer group participated, conducting fundraising activities targeting guests, visitors, and local residents.
At the campaign site, meaningful sharing activities took place, such as donating proceeds from the sale of agar bean soup to the Community Chest of Korea's "Together Happiness Fund."
Additionally, promotional items for Hope Summer were distributed, and fundraising activities for the Community Social Security Council's "Together Happiness Fund" were also promoted.
Participation was possible through various methods, including on-site registration or using a QR code. Multiple donation options were introduced, such as deposits to a dedicated Community Chest of Korea account, ARS donations, and text message donations.
This campaign also introduced various types of donations to encourage active participation from individuals and organizations, including: Good Family (regular donations of at least 20,000 KRW per family member), Good Workplace (regular payroll donations by employees), Good Pet (regular donations of at least 20,000 KRW in the name of a pet), and Good Store (regular donations of at least 30,000 KRW in the name of a store, with 31 stores in Ulleung County currently participating).
In addition, high-value donation programs were promoted, such as: Sharing Leader (individuals donating at least 1 million KRW within a year), Sharing Leaders Club (groups or organizations donating at least 10 million KRW within three years), Honor Society (individuals pledging at least 100 million KRW either as a lump sum or over five years), Customized Donor Funds (individuals pledging at least 1 billion KRW either as a lump sum or over five years), and Distinguished Sharing Company (small and medium-sized enterprises pledging at least 100 million KRW either as a lump sum or over five years).
County Governor Nam Han-gwon said, "I hope that through this Hope Summer Sharing Campaign, residents have been able to reflect on the value of sharing and convey warm hearts to neighbors in need," adding, "We will continue to build a 'Ulleung County Living Together' through ongoing sharing activities."
The Ulleung County Community Social Security Council uses the valuable donations collected in the "Together Happiness Fund" to carry out various welfare projects tailored to the characteristics of each town and township.
In Ulleung-eup, projects include preparing birthday meals for seniors, companion happiness outings, and dental care support for those receiving basic living benefits. In Seomyeon, there are happiness outings for seniors and summer food support (nutritional food sets) for vulnerable groups. In Buk-myeon, the council supports the Bokdakbokdak (Samgyetang set delivery), Rejuvenation Youth Again, and Senior Citizens Health Guardian projects.
