Finance-Focused Model 'ixi-GEN' Registered on Amazon Bedrock Marketplace
LG Uplus is partnering with global cloud service provider Amazon Web Services (AWS) to introduce its self-developed small language model (sLLM) 'ixi-GEN' to the global artificial intelligence (AI) market.
On July 20, LG Uplus announced that it will register ixi-GEN on AWS's fully managed AI development platform, Amazon Bedrock Marketplace. Through this platform, companies and developers around the world will be able to quickly and efficiently develop AI services based on ixi-GEN.
Amazon Bedrock provides a variety of AI models in the form of application programming interfaces (APIs), helping users develop stable services while reducing time and costs. Companies listed on the platform can generate additional revenue based on their AI models. Currently, global AI leaders such as Amazon, Meta, France's Mistral AI, and Canada's Cohere are participating.
ixi-GEN, registered by LG Uplus, is a finance-specialized sLLM developed based on the large-scale AI 'EXAONE' from LG AI Research. By learning financial data, it can perform specialized natural language processing (NLP) functions such as natural language Q&A and document summarization. In actual performance evaluations, ixi-GEN demonstrated approximately 31% higher response accuracy in the financial sector compared to the existing EXAONE model.
LG Uplus has advanced ixi-GEN in response to the growing demand for AI in the financial sector and plans to expand its applications to the telecommunications, public, and industrial sectors in the future. In particular, ixi-GEN is expected to see demand in security-sensitive areas such as public and financial sectors, as it provides highly reliable responses based on harmful content filtering and safe training data.
This registration is significant in that it has passed all of AWS's technical and security standards. LG Uplus is being recognized for its technological capabilities in the global AI market as a result.
