On this day, Speaker Woo commented on social media regarding the search and seizure of People Power Party lawmakers' offices by the special prosecutor investigating Kim Keonhee and the death of a Marine, saying, "In my view, it is preferable for agencies to cooperate and pursue voluntary submission of materials whenever possible." He asserted this position.

Speaker Woo said, "Since taking office last year, I have consistently maintained the principle of smooth execution of warrants based on mutual respect and consultation between the legislative and judicial branches," adding, "As the head of the legislature, that principle remains unchanged."

He continued, "While cooperating with the activities of the special prosecutor, which was launched to address public suspicion, the process and procedures must be based on respect for the legislature," and added, "Going forward, I will do my utmost to ensure that 'mutual respect' and 'law enforcement' are balanced in the operation of the National Assembly."

Earlier, Song Eonseok, acting leader and floor leader of the People Power Party, visited the Speaker's office with members of the party's Legislation and Judiciary Committee and requested that Speaker Woo issue a statement urging caution regarding searches and seizures within the National Assembly compound.
