Yeosu City Finalizes Second Supplementary Budget for "Livelihood Recovery" with 95.7 Billion Won Increase

Special One-Time Budget Allocated for "Consumption Coupon" Support

Yeosu City in South Jeolla Province announced on July 18 that it has allocated a special budget to support the "Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon" program, in line with the government's second supplementary budget finalized recently. The city also stated that the second supplementary budget was officially approved by the city council on July 17.

This supplementary budget focuses on stabilizing citizens' livelihoods and revitalizing the local economy. The total budget amounts to 1.9337 trillion won, representing an increase of 95.7 billion won (5.2%) compared to the first supplementary budget, which was 1.838 trillion won.

The main support programs include: ▲ 80.3 billion won for Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons ▲ 3.2 billion won to subsidize a 10% discount sale of Yeosu Love Gift Certificates ▲ 1.7 billion won to subsidize an additional 10% discount sale of Yeosu Love Gift Certificates in response to the designation of the area as a preemptive response region for industrial crisis ▲ 5.2 billion won to subsidize a 13% discount sale of Yeosu Love Gift Certificates.

A city official stated, "This supplementary budget was prepared in close alignment with government policy, focusing on stabilizing citizens' lives and restoring vitality to the local economy. We will do our utmost to provide tangible livelihood support to citizens through swift and responsible budget execution."
