Korea Federation of SMEs to Hold 2026 Yellow Umbrella Promotion Model Selection... Who Will Be the Star?

The Korea Federation of SMEs announced on the 20th that it will hold the "2026 Yellow Umbrella Promotion Model Selection Contest" to strengthen the promotion of the Yellow Umbrella program.

This year marks the fourth edition of the contest, and anyone who is a Yellow Umbrella subscriber can participate. Each year, participants showcase their talents and skills, drawing high levels of interest and participation. Last year, the competition recorded a ratio of 70 applicants for every one spot.

This year's contest will select a total of 20 finalists through a process that includes a document screening focused on the participants' real-life stories as small business owners, followed by a camera test and a final evaluation. Applications can be submitted on the official website of the Korea Federation of SMEs from July 21 to August 25. The document screening and camera test will take place in early September, and the final stage evaluation will be held at the end of September.

The selected models will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities, including filming the 2026 Yellow Umbrella TV commercial alongside celebrity ambassadors, producing digital promotional content, and joining events and performances.

Lee Changho, head of the Mutual Aid Business Division, stated, "We expect that the active involvement of subscriber promotion models will help make the Yellow Umbrella program more familiar to the public." He added, "Moving forward, we will not only focus on producing valuable content with the promotion models to deliver trustworthy information, but also continue a variety of promotional activities." He further emphasized, "As the Yellow Umbrella serves as a representative social safety net for small businesses and self-employed individuals, we will do our utmost to ensure that customers are well-prepared for business closures or retirement."
