HS Hyosung Advanced Materials Named to CDP 2024 Supplier Engagement 'A-List'
Only 1,395 Companies from 91 Countries Selected for the 'A-List'
Only 64 Companies in Korea, Including HS Hyosung Advanced Materials, Make the List
HS Hyosung Advanced Materials has been named to the 'A-List' after receiving the highest grade, A, in the '2024 Supplier Engagement Rating' organized by CDP, a global environmental, social, and governance (ESG) evaluation agency. The company is now recognized as a leading ESG management company not only in Korea but also globally.
On July 18, HS Hyosung Advanced Materials announced that it had been named to the A-List, which includes only 1,395 companies out of 22,777 companies from 91 countries worldwide. Among Korean companies, only 64 were selected. HS Hyosung Advanced Materials also received the highest grade in the newly introduced risk management process category in this evaluation. Previously, in January, the company systematically established its climate strategy based on Science-Based Targets (SBT) and officially received approval for its greenhouse gas reduction target by 2030 from the Science Based Targets initiative.
CDP is a reputable ESG evaluation index that comprehensively assesses corporate greenhouse gas emissions, carbon management strategies, and climate risks and opportunities. In October of last year, HS Hyosung Advanced Materials received the 'Platinum Medal,' awarded only to the top 1% of companies worldwide by EcoVadis, a global supply chain ESG evaluation agency. The company has also been included for two consecutive years in the 2024 Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) Korea, demonstrating its leadership in sustainable management.
