Fight Heat with Heat Marathon... Lotte Wellfood to Host '2025 Seolreim Run'

Lotte Wellfood announced on the 18th that it will host the '2025 Seolreim Run,' a marathon event, on August 31 at Peace Plaza in Peace Park, Mapo-gu, Seoul, to celebrate the launch of 'Seolreim Coolish Vanilla.'

The '2025 Seolreim Run' is a unique marathon event with the concept of a 'heated running competition.' The company explained, "The name is a double entendre, referring both to the physical rise in body temperature from running and to the emotional excitement or exhilaration. The event is designed as an 'Iyeolchiyeol' (fight heat with heat) challenge, where participants must overcome moments when both body and mind feel heated."

The event will feature a single 5 km course, starting at Peace Plaza, passing through Metropolis-gil and Nanjicheon Park, circling back at the turnaround point near Gate 3 of Noeul Park in Nanji-do, and returning to the starting point. On the day of the event, comedian Kim Wonhun will participate as a special ambassador.

Tickets will be available for purchase starting at 4 p.m. on the 21st through Lotte Wellfood's official online mall, 'Sweet Mall.' Sales are limited to one ticket per person for the first 2,500 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. In addition, participants can also qualify by purchasing Seolreim and submitting proof of purchase. From July 21 to August 17, 500 participants will be selected by lottery from consumers who purchase at least one Seolreim and verify their receipt, and will be given Seolreim Run tickets.

Participants will receive a race kit containing a T-shirt for the Seolreim Run, a cooling headband and cooling pad, a bib number, and a Seolreim mobile voucher. Those who complete the run will receive additional commemorative gifts.

Meanwhile, Seolreim Coolish Vanilla is a 'drinkable ice cream' that combines vanilla ice cream with fine ice particles, offering a more immediate cooling sensation compared to the original Seolreim. This is the first time that Lotte Wellfood is introducing a flagship frozen dessert brand from Lotte Japan under the same brand name and specifications. In response to the recent heatwave, Lotte Wellfood will directly produce the product using the same formula that has been proven in the Japanese market.
