Busan Regional Headquarters of KOSHA Holds Joint Campaign for Motorcycle Delivery Workers to Promote Compliance with Five Basic Heatwave Safety Rules On the 17th, the Busan Eastern Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, Busan Mobile Platform Workers Support Center, and Rider Union jointly conducted a campaign to promote compliance with the five basic heatwave safety rules for motorcycle delivery workers, organized by the Busan Regional Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency.

The campaign targeted delivery workers working outdoors and consisted of two main activities: spreading awareness of the five basic heatwave safety rules (water, shade, rest, cooling containers, and first aid), and distributing heat illness prevention supplies such as bottled water and cooling sleeves.

To further strengthen awareness of traffic accident prevention and safe driving among motorcycle delivery workers, the agency plans to carry out a challenge in cooperation with the Busan Mobile Platform Workers Support Center until August. This challenge involves attaching safe driving stickers to delivery boxes.

Jeong Jongdeuk, Director of the Busan Regional Headquarters, stated, "Motorcycle delivery workers are particularly vulnerable to traffic accidents and heat-related illnesses caused by summer heatwaves. We will continue to seek various measures to prevent industrial accidents. I hope that this campaign and challenge will serve as an opportunity to raise awareness of delivery workers' safety and to spread a culture of safety."
