Gyeongnam Jeonbo University: All 37 Students Pass CIDESCO Beauty Therapy International Qualification Exam

The Only CIDESCO Accredited Institution in Busan

Gyeongnam Jeonbo University held the 15th CIDESCO Beauty Therapy International Qualification Course completion ceremony at the on-campus CIDESCO Beauty Center on July 11.

Following the written exam on June 27, all 37 students enrolled in the course passed the practical exam, which was held over 11 days until July 8, making the achievement even more meaningful.

Gyeongnam Jeonbo University is the only institution in the Busan area authorized by both the CIDESCO headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, and the CIDESCO Korea branch. The university trains global beauty professionals equipped with both international standard job skills and K-beauty practical competencies.

Professor Kim Kyungmi, who serves as the domestic supervisor for CIDESCO SCHOOL KR511, stated, "To date, we have produced 411 passers in the international beauty therapy sector and 39 in the international aromatherapy sector. This has led to active employment not only at leading domestic beauty companies but also overseas. I feel great pride when I see our graduates starting their own businesses or working as professors and instructors after completing our university's curriculum."

On this day, student Park Heeju (49 years old) received the President's Award from the Korea Association of Skin Beauty Professionals.

Park expressed her joy, saying, "The professors provided dedicated guidance for each student's practical training until completion, which enabled me to achieve significant growth. I will continue to develop as a beauty entrepreneur who never stops growing, with the goal of opening a skincare shop in June next year."

The university's Global K-Beauty Department trains total beauty professionals based on the international beauty therapy curriculum, covering skincare, body care, nail art, problematic nail care, waxing, eyelash beauty, cosmetics, and semi-permanent makeup.

The department operates a flexible academic system that allows students to choose their own courses. Day classes require attendance three to four days a week, with options to take the medical skincare or nail art courses. Evening classes require attendance one day a week, with options to take the beauty health or beauty art courses. The department is recruiting 160 new students for the 2026 academic year.
