Gwangju Employers Federation and City Office of Education to Hold Industry-Academia Cooperation 'Workshop' from July 19 to 21

The Gwangju Employers Federation announced on July 17 that it will hold an industry-academia cooperation workshop with teachers in charge of outstanding employment clubs at vocational high schools and human resources managers from member companies, in collaboration with the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education.

The workshop, which will be held over three days and two nights until July 19, aims to strengthen career guidance and recruitment linkage systems based on industry-academia cooperation. The event is intended to enhance the effectiveness of field-oriented career guidance and employment support, as well as to reinforce the foundation for industry-academia collaboration, through exchanges between teachers responsible for outstanding employment clubs and corporate HR managers.

In addition, to establish a foundation for the sustainable operation and dissemination of employment club achievements, the workshop will focus on sharing best practices, building a cooperative network among teachers, and laying the groundwork for follow-up programs such as job experience, mentoring, and recruitment linkage.

The workshop will include discussions on best practices and activation strategies for employment clubs, roundtable talks on youth recruitment linkage between vocational high schools and companies, and visits to industrial sites and vocational education-related institutions in Jeju Island.

Yang Jinseok, Chairman of the Gwangju Employers Federation, said, "This workshop will provide a valuable opportunity to establish a practical foundation for cooperation between vocational high schools and companies, and to identify directions for improving vocational education through the sharing of recruitment information by HR managers."
