Ulju County Issues First "Discount Verification Certificate" to Multiple Blood Donors

First Resident to Receive Benefits After 109 Blood Donations
Up to 50% Discount on Public Facility Fees

Ulju County in Ulsan has issued its first "Discount Verification Certificate" to honor multiple blood donors who have practiced the gift of life.

On July 15, Ulju County announced that it had delivered the "Multiple Blood Donor Discount Verification Certificate" to a man in his 50s residing in Guyoung-ri, Beomseo-eup.

This man has led the way in sharing life by donating blood a total of 109 times so far. He said, "I started donating blood as a small habit, but I feel proud to be rewarded with real benefits," and added, "I will continue to donate blood regularly in the future."

This system, implemented for the first time in Ulsan by Ulju County, aims to promote a culture of blood donation and encourage long-term participation. The county offers a 30% discount on public facility usage fees to Ulju County residents who have donated blood at least once. In addition, residents who have donated blood 15 times or more within the past three years receive a discount verification certificate, which provides up to a 50% reduction in usage fees.

County Mayor Lee Soongeol stated, "Ulju County has established this system to sincerely reward the precious act of saving lives," and added, "We will do our best to foster a healthy donation culture and build a warm community."

The discount verification certificate can be applied for through the Pharmaceutical Management Team at the Ulju County Health Center.
