At the inauguration ceremony held on July 16 (local time) in Scott Township, Pennsylvania, Kolmar Group Vice Chairman Yoon Sanghyun stated, "The second plant in the United States is not just a factory, but the starting point for a new vision and collaboration." He added, "Using Plant 2 as a base, we will build an innovative ecosystem together with various value chain partners and develop it into the largest cosmetics manufacturing hub in North America."

With the completion of Plant 2, Kolmar Korea can now produce approximately 300 million products annually in the United States. Plant 2 has a total floor area of 17,805 square meters and can produce about 120 million products per year. Including the Canadian subsidiary, the company can manufacture approximately 470 million products annually across the entire North American region. This is the largest production capacity among ODM companies in North America.

Plant 2 will focus on the production of basic skincare and sun care cosmetics. As a result, in addition to Plant 1, which primarily produces color cosmetics, Kolmar Korea can now manufacture the full range of ODM products in the United States, including basic skincare and sun care items. Previously, Kolmar Korea obtained OTC (over-the-counter) certification from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the production of sunscreen products.

Plant 2's core manufacturing infrastructure, including manufacturing and filling rooms, was designed based on the operational experience of the Sejong plant in Korea. In particular, the production process incorporates artificial intelligence (AI)-based quality monitoring to minimize defect rates, and 80% of the entire process system has been automated.

A Kolmar Korea representative stated, "Colma USA Plant 2 is the first case of a Korean cosmetics company directly establishing a production facility in the United States. We will rapidly respond to the diverse needs of K-beauty brands seeking to enter the U.S. market without tariff burdens, as well as clients aiming to expand into the global markets of North America, Europe, and South America, while expanding our collaborative network."
