Over 70,000 Participants Joined in the First Half of This Year
"Intensive Care" for Employees at High Risk of Metabolic Diseases
Average Weight Down by 1.9kg, Body Fat Percentage Down by 1.5 Points
Samsung Welstory is advancing its personalized healthcare services by utilizing in-house cafeterias. Starting in the second half of the year, the company plans to strengthen its health data-driven solutions by newly introducing a microbiome test through oral microorganism sampling and a wearable robot-based muscle strengthening program.
On July 15, Samsung Welstory announced, "After expanding the pilot healthcare program, which was introduced last year at large business sites in the Seoul metropolitan area, to over 70,000 people in the first half of this year, we confirmed significant health improvements, such as reductions in weight and body fat percentage."

The healthcare solution consists of customized programs that manage meals and exercise based on personal health checkups, InBody measurements, and genetic test data. The company cafeteria offers low-fat, high-protein meal options, and employees can also manage their eating habits and participate in health campaigns through a mobile app.
The core program, "Intensive Care," targets employees with a high risk of metabolic diseases. Employees from a major client company who participated in the six-week program experienced an average weight loss of 1.9kg and a 1.5 percentage point decrease in body fat percentage. The company also operates "Daily Care," a subscription-based healthy meal service, and lifestyle-focused health campaigns such as the 10,000-step walking challenge.
From the second half of the year, the company plans to enhance its solutions by expanding methods for collecting health data. Samsung Welstory will introduce a new "microbiome test" that analyzes oral microorganisms to assess oral health and disease risks, and will also launch a muscle strengthening program using wearable robots.
This program is conducted during lunchtime for 20 to 30 minutes, with participants wearing wearable devices and following the guidance of a group exercise specialist. The program is expected to deliver comprehensive exercise effects, including posture correction and increased muscle mass.
A Samsung Welstory representative stated, "As more customers experience the joy of a healthy life through Samsung Welstory's differentiated healthcare solutions, more companies are adopting these programs as part of their corporate welfare initiatives," adding, "We plan to continue securing diversity and expertise in our health management programs by building partnerships with various healthcare companies."
