In the men's weekly world golf rankings announced on July 14 (local time), he received 2.20 points, soaring 109 spots from last week's 158th place. He accumulated these points by winning the Genesis Scotland Open (total prize money $9 million) on the PGA Tour, which concluded the previous day at the Renaissance Club (par 70, 7,282 yards) in North Berwick, Scotland, United Kingdom. This victory marks his second career win on the PGA Tour, following the Myrtle Beach Classic in May last year. The winner's prize is $1,575,000 (approximately 2.17 billion KRW).
There were no changes at the top of the rankings. Scottie Scheffler (USA), Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), and Xander Schauffele (USA) maintained the top three positions. Among Korean players, Im Sungjae is ranked 25th, An Byeonghun 48th, Kim Joo-hyung 60th, and Kim Siwoo 63rd. William Mouw (USA), a rookie who claimed his first career victory at the PGA Tour ISCO Championship, jumped from 217th to 124th place.
