Planned Extension of GTX-C Line and Subway Line 7
Real estate development company Shin Young announced on July 14 that it will begin sales next month for 'Jewel Elyum Yangju Deokgye Station,' which will be built in the Deokgye-dong area of Yangju, Gyeonggi Province. The complex will consist of 1,595 units across 10 buildings, ranging from four basement floors to 39 above-ground floors. Daebang Industrial Development will be responsible for construction.
The exclusive area units will be available in six types, ranging from 49 square meters to 122 square meters, targeting a wide range of demand from small to medium-large households. There will be 304 units of the 49-square-meter type, of which 240 will be designated as rental units. The 84-square-meter type will be offered in three variations, totaling 985 units, and the 122-square-meter type will comprise 306 units.
The site of the complex is considered a prime location within Yangju. Deokgye Station on Subway Line 1 is a five-minute walk away. Major road networks such as the Yangju Interchange on the Second Capital Area Ring Expressway, Hoecheonnam-ro, Pyeonghwa-ro, and National Route 3 are also nearby, making it convenient to travel both within and outside the Seoul metropolitan area.
Accessibility to Seoul is also expected to improve. The GTX-C line is under construction with the goal of opening in 2028. Other major transportation projects are underway, including the extension of Subway Line 7 (scheduled for late 2026), the Seoul-Yangju Expressway (scheduled for 2030), and the full opening of the Second Capital Area Ring Expressway (expected in 2029). Shin Young stated that, considering the impact of these transportation improvements, the company aims to build a landmark complex befitting Yangju's emergence as a transportation hub in northern Gyeonggi.
The complex also offers notable accessibility to industrial complexes. The Hoecheon Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex (scheduled for completion at the end of this year), Gyeonggi Yangju Technovalley (scheduled for completion at the end of next year), and Eunnam General Industrial Complex (scheduled for April 2027) are all nearby. In addition, existing industrial complexes such as Geomjun, Hongjuk, and Nammyeon can be reached within 30 minutes by car. As a result, demand is expected from end-users seeking housing close to their workplaces.
Living amenities are evenly distributed nearby. E-Mart, LF Square, and the central commercial district are all close, and Okjeong Public Medical Center is being developed as a general hospital with 300 beds. Elementary, middle, and high schools are within walking distance, and private academies are also nearby, providing favorable conditions for children's education. Leisure spaces such as Deokgyecheon Riverside Park, Gojangsan Mountain, a planned sports park, and a sports center are also concentrated in the vicinity.
The residential design targets end-users. All units feature three to four-bay layouts, and some types include enhanced storage spaces such as pantries and dressing rooms. Both plate-type and tower-type structures are offered to provide a wider range of choices.
The community facilities within the complex will be integrated and operated under the name 'Ground G.' Planned amenities include a guesthouse, dry sauna, private reading rooms, fitness center, daycare center, small library, and senior citizens' lounge. A green plaza will be created in the center of the complex, with walking trails inside the grounds.
A Shin Young representative stated, "'Jewel Elyum Yangju Deokgye Station' is the first Jewel-branded complex to be introduced in northern Gyeonggi. By combining Shin Young's residential design expertise with Daebang Industrial Development's construction capabilities, we aim to present a large-scale complex that matches the prime location near Deokgye Station."
The model home will be located in the Goeup-dong area of Yangju, with move-in scheduled for April 2029.
