Cumulative Sales Surpass 1 Trillion Won
Pioneering the Bibim-Style Ramen Market
Paldo announced on the 14th that cumulative sales of its flagship product, Paldo Bibimmyeon, have surpassed 2 billion units.
Paldo Bibimmyeon is a bibim-style ramen introduced by Paldo in 1984, which expanded the market from hot soup-based ramen to a cold, mixed noodle dish. Now celebrating its 41st anniversary this year, this long-standing brand has achieved cumulative sales of approximately 1 trillion won.
The company attributes its long-lasting popularity to its unique concept and continuous improvements in quality. Paldo explained that it focused on "reverse thinking" to create new demand in a highly competitive market. In particular, significant effort was devoted to developing the liquid sauce. Although it was more challenging to maintain stability and quality compared to powdered soup, Paldo succeeded in developing it after more than two years of research. The liquid sauce is produced by grinding raw ingredients and extracting the essence. Since the supply of raw materials changes each time, the manufacturing process requires advanced expertise. Researchers personally visit production regions to source ingredients in order to ensure a consistent taste for the product.
Paldo Marketing Team 1 Leader Lee Suhyang said, "Paldo Bibimmyeon was able to achieve sales of 2 billion units thanks to the interest and support of our consumers," adding, "We will continue to enhance product quality and carry out diverse marketing activities to further increase our brand value."
