Urban Healing with Your Dog! Lotte Mall Dongbusan Branch Targets Pet Family Demographic with the Opening of "Pet Square" Lotte Mall Dongbusan Branch Pet Square.

Pet Square, created on a 1,150-square-meter (approximately 350-pyeong) outdoor area on the first floor, was planned as a multi-cultural space where people and their pets can safely and comfortably stay together, going beyond a simple walking trail.

Pet Square features a dedicated route directly connected to the Lotte Outlet store, separating the paths of pet owners and non-pet owners to enhance both customer convenience and safety. The space is equipped with various facilities, including a dog-only agility area, pergola shelters, drinking fountains, and a "Petiquette Zone," providing an environment that supports healthy leisure activities with pets.

The domestic pet market has been steadily growing, offering new opportunities across the entire industry.

In particular, as the consumption influence of the "Pet Family" demographic?those who treat pets like children?continues to increase, the establishment of pet-friendly infrastructure is emerging as a source of differentiated competitiveness in the retail sector.

Lotte Mall Dongbusan Branch has continuously expanded various pet-specialized content in addition to Pet Square. In 2023, the mall created a rooftop pet park in its home living specialty hall, "Maison Hall," applied for special business status to operate pet-friendly restaurants for the first time among outlets, and has been running a free rental service for pet strollers ("Petmocha") to enhance shopping convenience for pet owners.

Yoon Hyungjin, the manager of Lotte Mall Dongbusan Branch, stated, "A lifestyle with pets is no longer exclusive to a select group of consumers; it has become the standard in everyday life. Starting with Pet Square, we will continue to expand content that both pet owners and their pets can enjoy together, developing the mall into a trusted pet-friendly space for our customers."
