Paju City Sequentially Visits Five Construction Sites
All-Out Efforts to Protect Workers' Health Against Natural Disasters
As the record-breaking heatwave is expected to continue for an extended period, Kim Kyungil, mayor of Paju City, is personally visiting large-scale construction sites in the area to inspect safety conditions and review the city’s response system to the heatwave.

This inspection was initiated to strengthen effective on-site safety management as a proactive response, given growing concerns about workers’ health risks such as heat-related illnesses due to the ongoing extreme heat.
Mayor Kim personally examined rest facilities and working environments at the sites, urging continued attention and improvements to ensure that workers can operate safely and comfortably even in the heat. He also checked compliance with preventive measures against heat-related illnesses and the five basic rules for heatwave safety (▲water ▲air and shade ▲rest ▲cooling equipment ▲emergency response).
Kim Kyungil, mayor of Paju City, stated, “We must prioritize the health and safety of construction site workers, who are especially vulnerable to the heatwave,” and added, “The city will spare no effort to support construction workers who are quietly working to build public facilities in these hot conditions so that their health is not compromised.”
Starting with a visit to the ‘Gyoha Multipurpose Indoor Gymnasium’ construction site on July 11, Mayor Kim plans to sequentially visit four large-scale construction sites in the area, including the Unjeong 3-dong Administrative Welfare Center, to inspect construction progress, preparations for natural disasters during the summer, and the overall status of safety management.
