Former Daegu Mayor Hong Junpyo is intensifying his criticism of the People Power Party.
On July 13, Hong wrote on his Facebook page, "Yoon Sukyeol (former president) and Han Donghoon (former party leader) became Moon Jaein's (former president) hunting dogs, cruelly hunting down Lee Myungbak (former president) and Park Geunhye (former president), indiscriminately arresting hundreds of conservative figures, and causing five suicides in that so-called 'state affairs manipulation frame' case. I have never forgotten that incident, not even for a moment."
He continued, "Even so, the so-called conservatives in this country followed Moon Jaein's (former president) two hunting dogs, brought them into the conservative party, and followed them like lemmings. I have never forgotten those years, either," adding, "Now, those two are receiving the consequences of the deeds they committed."
Hong added, "Even though I repeatedly advised them to cooperate and do their jobs well when entrusted with state affairs, political prosecutors took positions they were unfit for, fought among themselves, ruined the party, ruined conservatism, and ruined the country. They are now paying the price for those actions," and emphasized, "The group that blindly followed those two must also pay the price so that hunting dogs will never run rampant in this country again."
