On July 14, Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association (Chairman Song Pilho) announced that actor Byun Wooseok has been appointed as a member of the Hope Bridge Honors Club, a group of major donors.
The Hope Bridge Honors Club is a network of individual major donors who have contributed at least 100 million won to Hope Bridge. It is a club of sharing leaders who actively participate in national disaster response efforts. In April, Byun Wooseok donated 100 million won to Hope Bridge to help neighbors affected by large-scale wildfires in the Ulsan, North Gyeongsang, and South Gyeongsang regions, thereby joining the Honors Club as a full member.
Byun Wooseok said, "I am truly grateful to be part of such a meaningful group as the Honors Club," and added, "Even if it is a small gesture, if I can be a source of strength and comfort to someone, I would always like to be involved." He continued, "I want to continue living a life where I share warmth with neighbors in need."
Shin Hoon, Secretary General of Hope Bridge, stated, "When people who are greatly loved by the public, like actor Byun Wooseok, share with others, the impact on society is enormous." He added, "We hope that Byun Wooseok, who is creating positive change through his good influence, will continue to bring even more hope to our society as a member of the Honors Club."
