The Daegu Regional Veterans Office of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs (Director Kim Jongsul) held a certificate awarding ceremony in the name of the President for national merit recipients at the Kim Yonghae Hall of the Daegu Regional Government Complex on July 11.

During the ceremony, certificates were presented to a total of eight individuals, including veterans who participated in the Korean War and were belatedly registered as national merit recipients and their families, as well as merit recipients and their families who were either injured or recognized for their distinguished service while serving along the Southern Limit Line.
Kim Jongsul, Director of the Daegu Regional Veterans Office, stated, "I extend my heartfelt respect and gratitude to those who have regained their honor after more than 70 years," and added, "We will continue to do our utmost to honor merit recipients and their families and to promote a culture of remembrance that is alive in everyday life."
The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs is working to strengthen social recognition and respect for national merit recipients and to raise public awareness, under the vision of 'Remembrance for All, Remembrance Alive in Everyday Life.'
