Kim Nominee: "We Will Make Every Effort to Ensure Stable Market Management"
A Three-Term Lawmaker Considered a Key Pro-Lee Jaemyung Figure
Kim Yoonduk, a lawmaker from the Democratic Party of Korea who has been nominated as the first Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport under the Lee Jaemyung administration, stated on July 12, "We will swiftly supply high-quality housing in preferred locations."
In a statement shared with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport press corps on the same day, Kim said, "I am honored to be nominated as the first Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in the new administration, and at the same time, I feel a heavy sense of responsibility and duty. I believe I have been entrusted with an extremely important mission during a difficult time."
He emphasized, "As the housing market in certain areas, including Seoul, is overheating, we will make every effort to stabilize the market by rapidly supplying high-quality housing in preferred locations."
He also said, "We will actively pursue policies to promote balanced national development and to resolve disparities in mobility rights."
He added, "We will expand growth engines through advanced industrial complexes and future mobility. In addition, we will do our utmost to ensure safety management, which is the most important responsibility of the state, so that tragic accidents such as sinkholes and aviation disasters do not recur."
Meanwhile, Kim is a three-term lawmaker and is considered a key figure among pro-Lee Jaemyung lawmakers. He has served twice on the National Assembly's Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee, from 2014 to 2016 and from 2020 to 2022.
