Suncheon Apartment Fire... Man in His 20s Seriously Injured, 14 Residents Evacuated

At approximately 1:24 a.m. on July 12, a fire broke out on the second floor of a multi-family house in Suncheon, South Jeolla Province.

The fire was extinguished after 24 minutes, but a man in his twenties suffered serious injuries from smoke inhalation and was transported to the hospital. The fire is believed to have started in the kitchen on the second floor, and 14 nearby residents evacuated urgently at the time of the incident.

Fire authorities believe the fire began in the kitchen and are investigating the exact cause of the incident.
