Testimony Emerges of Pressure from Yoon Sukyeol's Presidential Office
The Democratic Party of Korea has decided to continue its parliamentary response to various suspicions surrounding the activities of far-right groups, starting with the hearing on 'Libax School,' which has been embroiled in allegations of comment manipulation.

According to the meeting document of the 'Task Force for the Promotion of the Formation of the Modern History Issues Research Association for the Restoration of Chun Doohwan's Honor,' released on the 10th by Democratic Party lawmaker Ko Minjung, the document included plans to foster right-wing forces such as NGOs across various sectors of society. It also contained details such as 'when the government exposes pro-North Korea spy groups among activist circles, it will simultaneously launch a campaign to promote Chun Doohwan.'
Baek Seunga, spokesperson for the Democratic Party's parliamentary group, stated on the 11th, "At the hearing, there was even testimony that a high-ranking official from the Presidential Office under the Yoon Sukyeol administration pressured the Ministry of Education to ensure that an institution related to Libax School was selected for the 'Neulbom School' project." She criticized, "If state power was used to funnel budgets and interests to a specific far-right organization, and to influence public education policy and public opinion through them, this is a serious issue that threatens the very foundation of democracy."
The Democratic Party does not intend to conclude this hearing as a one-off event, but plans to continue parliamentary action in the future. The issue is also expected to be raised during this year's National Assembly audit.
Kim Byungki, acting leader and floor leader of the Democratic Party, stated on the 10th regarding Libax School, "We must root out this evil. We will mobilize every possible means and method to identify and strictly punish those involved with Libax School and those behind them."
