The Korean Red Cross (President Kim Cheol-soo) announced that on July 10, it held a special concert titled "Peace We Have Protected Together, Future We Create Together" at Lotte Concert Hall in Songpa-gu, Seoul, to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the Korean Red Cross and the 80th anniversary of Liberation.

This concert was organized as part of the Korean Red Cross's "Support for Descendants of Independence Patriots" campaign. The event was jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, Korea Zinc, Woori Bank, Industrial Bank of Korea, and the Korean Red Cross President's Advisory Committee. More than 2,000 people attended the concert, including descendants and families of independence patriots, government and Liberation Association officials, Red Cross volunteers, blood donors, and contributors.

The concert, hosted by Kim Min-jung, the Korean Red Cross blood donation ambassador and announcer, featured the Gangneung City Symphony Orchestra (conducted by Chung Min), one of Korea's leading orchestras. The orchestra performed world-renowned pieces by Mozart, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky, as well as Korean songs such as "Shin Arirang" and "Myeongtae."

Kim Cheol-soo, President of the Korean Red Cross, stated, "Although 80 years have passed since Liberation, I wanted to speak about the descendants of independence patriots who are still facing difficult circumstances." He added, "I hope that this concert will serve as an opportunity to increase public interest and support for independence patriots."

The funds raised through this concert will be used to support the living expenses, emergency medical expenses, and housing improvements for descendants of independence patriots. The Korean Red Cross plans to continue conducting citizen participation campaigns and will strive to raise awareness and expand support for the descendants of independence patriots.
