"All-Black" RS Midnight Edition
Reinforced Door and Underbody Panels
Introduction of Wireless Software Updates
Chevrolet announced on the 11th that it has launched and begun sales of the 2026 model year 'Trax Crossover'.
The Trax Crossover combines the agility of a sedan with the practicality of an SUV, offering outstanding price competitiveness, a spacious interior, and advanced convenience features. As of last year, it has achieved cumulative global sales of over 500,000 units, maintaining steady popularity.
The 2026 Trax Crossover features improved exterior colors for its major trims. The Active trim introduces 'Mochaccino Beige', capturing the sensibility of an urban outdoor lifestyle. For the RS trim, 'Chili Pepper Red' replaces the previous 'Milano Red', creating a youthful, sophisticated, and striking impression.
In particular, the newly added 'RS Midnight Edition' strengthens the exterior theme with emphasized all-black details. The front grille bar and 18-inch alloy wheels are finished in gloss black. Adaptive cruise control and a power liftgate are now standard features, delivering not only style but also enhanced practicality and driving convenience.
The model is equipped with GM's connectivity platform 'OnStar', which provides functions such as remote start, remote door lock, vehicle status information, and vehicle diagnostics. This allows vehicle software to be updated wirelessly.
Based on a high-strength, lightweight body, panels have been newly reinforced in key areas such as the doors and underbody, which are not visible to the eye. The robust safety cage protects occupants. The vehicle combines top-class advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) in its segment, including forward collision warning and automatic braking, lane departure warning and assist, and adaptive cruise control (ACC), ensuring both real-world safety and driving reliability.
The 2026 Chevrolet Trax Crossover is priced at 21,550,000 KRW for the LS, 25,650,000 KRW for the Redline, 27,930,000 KRW for the Active, and 28,510,000 KRW for the RS.
Yoon Myungok, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Head of Communications at GM Korea, stated, "The Trax Crossover is Chevrolet's flagship crossover model, achieving mega-hit status in markets around the world, including Korea. We have accomplished comprehensive product enhancements, including the introduction of the new RS Midnight Edition, new exterior colors, and wireless software update capabilities."
