Sales Begin at 10 a.m. on the 14th
Issuance Doubled
Yeongdeungpo District in Seoul will double the issuance of the 'Yeongdeungpo Ttaenggyeoyo Gift Certificate' from 500 million won to 1 billion won in order to boost local consumption and ease the business burden on small business owners. The gift certificates will be available for purchase starting at 10:00 a.m. on July 14.
This expanded issuance was decided in response to the early sell-out of the certificates in the first half of the year and strong demand from residents. The district plans to alleviate household burdens caused by high prices and revitalize the stagnant local commercial districts, aiming to create a virtuous cycle where both consumers and small business owners can thrive together.
The 'Yeongdeungpo Ttaenggyeoyo Gift Certificate' is an electronic voucher that can be used on the mobile delivery app 'Ttaenggyeoyo.' Individuals can purchase up to 200,000 won per month and hold up to 1 million won through the 'Seoul Pay Plus' app. The certificates are valid for one year from the date of purchase. They can be used via the 'Seoul Pay Plus' app's 'Seoul Delivery+' or the 'Ttaenggyeoyo' app.
In particular, this gift certificate offers a maximum discount benefit of 30 percent. A 15 percent discount is applied at the time of purchase, and an additional 15 percent payback benefit is provided when used. The separately operated 'Yeongdeungpo Love Gift Certificate' offers a 5 percent upfront discount and a 15 percent payback, allowing for a maximum 20 percent discount.
The district also plans to participate in the pilot operation of 'Ttaeng Delivery,' the proprietary delivery service of 'Ttaenggyeoyo.' Ttaeng Delivery offers low service fees for both consumers and affiliated stores, and provides various convenience features such as real-time rider location sharing and estimated arrival time notifications.
Choi Hokwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, stated, "We will continue to create various opportunities to invigorate the local economy and foster mutual growth for both residents and small business owners."
