This program is designed to help children, who are the leaders of the future generation, naturally understand the importance and convenience of road name addresses. It has been conducted for 132 students at three elementary schools, including Wonnae Elementary School in Jangan-eup, from June 16 to July 15.
Staff from the Gijang County Office Land Information Division participate as 'one-day teachers,' leading hands-on classes that utilize address information guide facilities commonly found in daily life. The children check the road name addresses in their own neighborhoods and learn how to use them for navigation, showing high levels of focus and interest.
This program also includes a digital textbook and quiz activities created on a metaverse platform, providing an environment where children can learn address information in a game-like manner. Both students and teachers have responded positively to this new learning experience that incorporates digital technology.
Governor Jung Jongbok stated, "We will continue to develop a variety of practical, accessible education and promotional activities so that not only children but all residents of the county can become familiar with and conveniently use road name addresses."
