Pyeongtaek City Recruiting 136 Participants for 'Public Work Program' for Vulnerable Groups

The Public Work Program is designed to support the livelihood stability of vulnerable groups by providing jobs and to revitalize the local economy through job creation. The recruitment covers three areas: environmental cleanup projects, service support projects, and database (DB) construction support projects. The employment period will last for four months, from September 10 to December 23.

Eligibility is limited to Pyeongtaek residents aged 18 or older as of the program start date, September 10. Applicants must have a household income at or below 70% of the median income standard and assets not exceeding 400 million KRW. Eligible participants include those who are unemployed or daily workers without regular income, individuals certified as homeless by administrative or credible institutions, and unemployed individuals aged between 18 and 34 who are not currently students.

Those wishing to participate must apply in person at their local eup, myeon, or dong administrative welfare center between July 14 and July 23.

The city will select participants based on the highest combined scores, with extra points assigned according to an evaluation table for each consideration factor. Recruitment will be conducted by region, including the southern, northern, and western areas. The wage will be 11,280 KRW, applying Pyeongtaek City's 2025 living wage standard. Additional employment benefits include enrollment in the four major social insurances, as well as weekly and monthly paid leave allowances.
