NearsLab CEO Choi Jaehyuk Receives Minister of National Defense Commendation as "Contributor to the Korean Drone Industry"

NearsLab announced on July 10 that CEO Choi Jaehyuk has been awarded the Minister of National Defense Commendation as a "Contributor to the Korean Drone Industry."

This commendation is given to individuals who have contributed to the advancement of national industry and technological self-reliance by developing advanced weapon systems and securing national defense research and development (R&D) capabilities. With this award, NearsLab has now received ministerial commendations from all major government ministries related to drone technology and industry.

CEO Choi has led the development of defense industry drone product lines and business expansion based on NearsLab's AI-powered autonomous flight drone solutions. The main products associated with this award are the high-speed interceptor drone "KAiDEN" and the swarm-type autonomous attack drone "XAiDEN." KAiDEN is a high-speed interceptor drone capable of flying at 250 km/h and precisely striking targets. It was recognized for its technological excellence and innovation by winning the Edison Awards in the United States in April. XAiDEN was unveiled in February this year and has attracted significant attention from military authorities both domestically and internationally. Both products are being exported to Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

CEO Choi said, "This award is especially meaningful as it recognizes NearsLab's technological capabilities in the defense sector," and added, "We will continue to further enhance our capabilities and spread impactful technologies throughout the defense industry."
