Baemin Provides “School Vacation Lunchboxes” to 6,200 Children Over Six Years

Baemin School Vacation Lunchbox Summer Fundraising Campaign with World Vision Until July 31
Since 2020, 14,000 Participants Have Delivered 150,000 Meals to 6,200 Children

Baemin’s flagship social contribution initiative, “Baemin School Vacation Lunchbox,” is launching its tenth sponsorship campaign. This summer vacation, the program plans to provide 14,000 meals to 650 children across eight regions nationwide.

Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baemin, announced that it will run the 2025 Baemin School Vacation Lunchbox summer fundraising campaign in partnership with the international relief and development NGO World Vision, from July 10 to July 31.

Baemin School Vacation Lunchbox is a social contribution program that began in 2020 in collaboration with World Vision, designed to support children who do not receive meal assistance during school breaks. Based on donations from sponsors and customers, lunchboxes are prepared for the children. During the vacation period, Baemin provides three Baemin meal vouchers per lunchbox each week. This allows children to choose from a variety of foods using the vouchers, rather than being limited to predetermined menu items. In addition to simply delivering lunchboxes, teachers personally deliver the meals to children, checking on their well-being throughout the vacation.

Over the past six years, the Baemin School Vacation Lunchbox campaign has provided lunchboxes to a total of 6,200 children across eight regions nationwide, delivering 150,000 meals. More than 14,000 people have participated through the Baemin app or website, donating a total of 540 million won.

This summer vacation, 650 children at risk of missing meals in eight regions nationwide will receive one lunchbox and three meal vouchers per week, totaling 14,000 meals. All funds raised through the campaign will be used exclusively for lunchbox production, while Baemin will sponsor three meal vouchers per child.

Anyone can participate in supporting the Baemin School Vacation Lunchbox through the campaign website or the fundraising event page on the Baemin app. Donations are accepted at any time through the Baemin School Vacation Lunchbox website, even outside the main fundraising period.

Kim Junghyun, Head of Value Management at Woowa Brothers, said, “Baemin will continue to take the lead in building a food safety net for children, so that more people can empathize with and participate in this cause.”
