156 Top Players Including Scottie Scheffler to Compete
Winner to Receive $1.4 Million and a GV70 Model
Munoz: "Leading the Golf Industry... Expanding Genesis Influence"
Genesis announced on July 10 that the '2025 Genesis Scottish Open,' one of Europe's most prestigious golf tournaments, will open at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland.
This event, co-hosted by the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour, will be held from July 10 to July 13 (local time). A total of 156 players from the PGA Tour, DP World Tour, and the Korea Professional Golfers’ Association (hereinafter KPGA Korean Tour) will participate.
This year's tournament will feature a strong field of world-class players, including last year's champion Robert MacIntyre, as well as Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and Xander Schauffele. Representing Korea, PGA Tour players Im Sungjae, An Byeonghun, and Kim Joohyung will take part, while Kim Hongtaek, Lee Junghwan, and Cho Wooyoung from the KPGA Korean Tour have also been invited by Genesis to compete.
The total prize fund is $9 million, with the winner receiving $1.4 million and a GV70 Electrified model as a special prize. A player who records the first hole-in-one on the 6th hole will receive a GV60 as a prize, while the first player and caddie to make a hole-in-one on the 17th hole will be awarded a GV70 Electrified model and a GV60, respectively.
To ensure smooth tournament operations, Genesis will provide 113 vehicles and will display 13 cars?including the GV70 Electrified model, GV60, G80 Electrified model, and the Genesis X Gran Racer Concept?throughout The Renaissance Club to attract the attention of spectators.
Genesis will also set up a 'Genesis Public Lounge' near the 6th hole for general spectators, where it will promote the Genesis brand through interactive events such as a Genesis Golf Collection exhibition, experiences with traditional Korean snacks, and golf simulator (TGL) programs.
Song Mingyu, Executive Vice President and Head of Genesis Business Division, said, "We have focused even more on creating an environment where the world's top players can concentrate on golf and perform at their best," adding, "For the 80,000 spectators, we are enhancing the Genesis brand experience not only through top-tier golf viewing but also through interactive programs such as hole-in-one events for fans."

In addition, Genesis will extend its title sponsorship of the 'Genesis Scottish Open' through 2030. As the first official automotive and mobility partner of the PGA Tour, Genesis plans to continue expanding its engagement with golf fans in Europe and around the world through this sponsorship extension.
