The importance of personal information is increasing day by day. As various crimes involving the use of personal information, such as voice phishing, continue to occur, awareness of personal information is growing stronger.
On July 9, the Sejong City Office of Education announced that it had successfully conducted information security and personal information protection training for approximately 300 employees on July 8.
This training was organized to enhance public officials' awareness of information security in educational administration and to strengthen their personal information management capabilities, thereby creating a safer educational administration environment. The program covered a wide range of topics, from the basic concepts of information protection to practical methods for managing information security and personal information protection in daily work.
In particular, the training focused on providing preventive measures, especially by highlighting various security incident cases such as personal information leakage and exposure, as well as hacking.
Lee Geumui, Head of the Education Welfare Division, said, "We expect that we will be able to protect not only the information of our staff but also the valuable information of students and faculty members more securely," adding, "We will continue our efforts to create a trusted educational environment through ongoing training and management systems."
